Where do I report a violation of state law by a Minnesota public school?
I recently learned that a school I formerly attended requires students to pay for their graduation caps and gowns, which is explicitly forbidden in Minnesota Statute 123B.37 ( a href="https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/?id=123B.37" rel="nofollow"https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/?id=…/a ). I would like to know where I should report this violation to. The main obstacle is that this being an extremely small town, the local government cannot be expected to deal with this problem properly, in my opinion, because I feel that a conflict of interests between some members MAY be a hindrance to the progress of compliance I wish to see in the school, which I shall not name. I would like information on a preferably state operated agency that is qualified to deal with this issue, and if possible a link or direct information, as I have had no success in finding information on the Minnesota Department of Education's website. An address for a letter or email, or a link to the information I desire would be much appreciated. Thank you.
