Do most jobs pay women while they're on maternity leave?
I'm specifically referring to the US. I know most other countries do but I thought in general women didn't get paid while they're on maternity leave in the US. I'm working at my job through a temp agency but I heard some of the women that work there permanently saying they get paid for 3 months of maternity leave. I was talking to another coworker saying that's really good because I didn't think most companies pay and that usually it's hard to get more than 6 weeks. The girl I was talking to (who is also a temp) said that's they way she's always heard people get maternity leave - 3 months off with pay. Is that the standard that companies give?
