Why is my usb (flash drive) being recognized as a cd? (and how can I fix it)?

So I guess I have to say firstly that I used the Divx Plus player to burn some videos onto my usb, so that I could watch them on my PlayStation 3. However, I recently went into my computer after I watch these videos so I could remove them and add a episode of television. I discovered that not only was the USB recognized as a Cd when I went into "my computer", but when I deleted the files off it still said there was no memory left. It is a somewhat older flash drive. I would really like to know if I can get my computer to recognize it as a flash drive again, or if Divx has permanently made it "video only". If it is permanently video only, is there a way in which I can switch up the videos on it? Any help would be appreciated.
